ARCHDALE, NC (September 25, 2007)- Earl Pearson Jr. and the Bobby Labonte Racing Team will travel to Columbus Mississippi and compete at the Columbus Speedway in the 18th annual Magnolia State 100. The two day event this Friday and Saturday September 28-29th will pay $25,007 to the winner of the 100-lap feature event. This premier racing event in Mississippi always draws a huge field of Super Late Models and indications are no different this year with a strong field of Super Late Model drivers already entered for the show with many more expected at race time. After racing in Mississippi this weekend Earl and the team will try to clinch their third straight Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series National Championship next weekend at the series events at Rome Speedway and Dixie Speedway both in North Georgia. The season finale for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will be at Dixie Speedway next Saturday night October 6th. Earl leads Scott James by 230 points with two events remaining on the 2007 series schedule.
