ARCHDALE, NC (October 17, 2007)- Earl Pearson Jr. and the Bobby Labonte Racing Team returned to his home track in Brunswick, GA over the weekend and compete at Golden Isles Speedway in two 20-lap $2,000 to win  Southern All-Stars East sanctioned events on Friday October 12th and a Southern All-Stars sanctioned 60-lap $10,000 to win feature on Saturday October13th. Earl would win the first 20-lap feature on Friday night and finished 2nd in the second 20-lap feature on Friday night.

On Saturday Earl would set a new track record and qualified 1st at the newly re-configured Golden Isles Speedway with a lap of 15.88 around the 4/10ths mile track. Earl would win his heat race to earn the pole position for the 60-lap feature. Earl would jump into the lead on the start powering by Chris Madden. Earl would lead the first 26 laps before battling matt Miller for the top position. Earl couldn't hold off matt and fell back to second place. Earl would hold off Madden and Billy Moyer and finished a solid second place in the final run down.

"It was fun to race in front of my family and hometown fans again at Golden Isles Speedway last weekend. We had a good car all weekend and set a new track record which was neat. Our car got too tight in the 60-lap feature and Matt got by me to win. But we had a good weekend and look forward to coming back for speedweeks 2008. Frankie Lloyd has done a great job with the track and everyone will like the racing next year at speedweeks", stated Earl.

Earl and the team will now head to KC Raceway in Waverly, OH and compete in the $50,000 to win Dirt Track World Championship this Friday and Saturday October 19-20th. Earl finished 3rd in last year's event and hopes to improve two positions and add this crown jewel to his long list of accomplishments.
